Who covers Wilson Security workers — award or agreement?
Wilson Security is one of the largest security contractors in the country, part of the Wilson Group alongside Wilson Parking and Wilson Health. It guards shopping centres, government buildings, hospitals, ports and corporate sites, and provides mobile patrols, concierge and control-room services with a workforce of licensed security officers on rotating shifts.
Wilson Security officers are covered by the Security Services Industry Award 2020, with Wilson enterprise agreements at various sites (below). The award ladder below is the floor; the award's shift, weekend and overtime loadings are where a security roster's pay is made or lost.

We don't reproduce agreement dollar figures here — the agreement covering your site, state and stream is the document to read. Find your agreement, then your classification, then your pay point, and compare it with your payslip. The award tables on this page are the floor every one of these agreements must beat.
Common security pay issues at Wilson Security
The patterns worth checking on a Wilson Security payslip:
- Level 1 for control-room, senior or supervisory work.
- Night, weekend and overtime loadings absorbed into a flat rate that doesn't beat the award for the roster.
- Unpaid handover, briefing and travel between sites.
- Long shifts without the award's overtime and rest-break rules.
What to do if your pay looks wrong
Match your payslip to your classification in the agreement (or the award tables above), and price any gap with our back-pay calculator. Raise it in writing with payroll or your manager first — most underpayments are fixed at that step. Unresolved, the Fair Work Ombudsman (13 13 94) recovers underpayments at no cost, up to six years back, and your union can run the claim for you. Not sure which instrument covers you?
