FairWork Mate is a free Australian workplace compliance platform. We build calculator tools that help employees understand their rights and small business owners meet their obligations under Australian employment law.
Why we exist
Australian workplace law is complex. Between the Fair Work Act, 121+ Modern Awards, enterprise agreements, state-based laws, and constantly changing rates, it's hard for anyone to keep up. The Fair Work Ombudsman recovers hundreds of millions in underpayments every year — often from employers who simply didn't understand the rules.
We believe everyone deserves free access to accurate workplace compliance tools. No sign-ups, no paywalls, no hidden costs.
How it works
Our calculators are built on the National Employment Standards (NES), Modern Award data, and rates published by the Fair Work Commission. Every calculation shows a "Last verified" date so you know when the data was last checked against official sources.
All calculations run entirely in your browser. We don't store your data, track your inputs, or send anything to a server. Your privacy is absolute.
