Who covers Allianz Australia workers — award or agreement?
Allianz Australia is a general insurer covering home, motor, business and specialty lines, including transport and automotive cover written through its Global Transport & Automotive Insurance Solutions business. Its workforce is entirely permanent rather than casual and strongly female-dominated, working mainly in claims handling, underwriting, customer service and contact-centre roles.
The Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2020 covers claims and contact-centre staff, though many underwriting, management and specialist insurance roles at Allianz are salaried above the award. Allianz has registered several enterprise agreements, including for its technology and business-partnership functions — listed below where our corpus holds them — and each must leave employees better off overall than the award.

We don't reproduce agreement dollar figures here — the agreement covering your site, state and stream is the document to read. Find your agreement, then your classification, then your pay point, and compare it with your payslip. The award tables on this page are the floor every one of these agreements must beat.
Common financial services pay issues at Allianz Australia
The patterns worth checking on a Allianz Australia payslip:
- Annualised salaries that don't cover overtime — contact-centre and branch staff regularly working past the award's ordinary span.
- Level 1–2 for experienced consultant work.
- Unpaid log-in time before shifts start and unpaid after-call work.
- Rostered Saturdays without the award or agreement loading.
What to do if your pay looks wrong
Match your payslip to your classification in the agreement (or the award tables above), and price any gap with our back-pay calculator. Raise it in writing with payroll or your manager first — most underpayments are fixed at that step. Unresolved, the Fair Work Ombudsman (13 13 94) recovers underpayments at no cost, up to six years back, and your union can run the claim for you. Not sure which instrument covers you?
