Who covers IAG (NRMA Insurance, CGU, SGIO) workers — award or agreement?
IAG is the largest general insurer in Australia and New Zealand, trading as NRMA Insurance, CGU, SGIO, SGIC, WFI and ROLLiN'. Its workforce is claims and contact-centre consultants, assessors, underwriters, brokers' support staff, and a large technology and corporate workforce in Sydney and Melbourne.
IAG staff are covered by the IAG enterprise agreement (below), sitting above the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2020. The award ladder is tabled below as the floor for claims, contact-centre and administration roles; the agreement's salary bands sit above it.

Banking, finance and insurance award floor (1 July 2026)
The Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2020 (MA000019) adult minimums are:

Annual salaries in the award are converted to hourly at ÷52.18 weeks ÷38 hours. The award's ordinary hours span 7am–7pm Monday to Friday and 8am–1pm Saturday; work outside that attracts penalties.

Common financial services pay issues at IAG (NRMA Insurance, CGU, SGIO)
The patterns worth checking on a IAG (NRMA Insurance, CGU, SGIO) payslip:
- Annualised salaries that don't cover overtime — contact-centre and branch staff regularly working past the award's ordinary span.
