Who covers Suncorp (AAMI, GIO, Apia) workers — award or agreement?
Suncorp is now a pure general insurer — AAMI, GIO, Apia, Shannons, Bingle and the Suncorp Insurance brand — after selling its bank to ANZ. Its workforce is claims consultants, contact-centre and sales staff, assessors, underwriters and a large technology and corporate workforce based mainly in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Suncorp staff are covered by the Suncorp Group enterprise agreement (below), sitting above the Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2020. The award ladder is tabled below as the floor for claims, contact-centre and administration roles; the agreement's pay bands sit above it.

The Banking, Finance and Insurance Award 2020 (MA000019) adult minimums are:

Annual salaries in the award are converted to hourly at ÷52.18 weeks ÷38 hours. The award's ordinary hours span 7am–7pm Monday to Friday and 8am–1pm Saturday; work outside that attracts penalties.
