Who covers Lumus Imaging workers — award or agreement?
Lumus Imaging is a diagnostic imaging network running radiology clinics across several states, offering X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI and other scans to referred patients. Its workforce includes radiographers, sonographers and other imaging staff who perform scans, alongside medical receptionists and administrative teams who run each clinic's front desk.
The Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 sets the floor for imaging support and administrative roles; radiographers and other qualified imaging practitioners may be classified differently depending on their duties and qualifications. Lumus Imaging has registered enterprise agreements covering its Queensland, its New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory, and its Victorian clinics, including a separate agreement for medical receptionists — listed below where our corpus holds them — and each must leave staff better off overall than the award.

The Lumus Imaging enterprise agreements
Enterprise agreements set rates above the award, with their own classification structures and allowances. Current Lumus Imaging agreements in our corpus (4 in total):
- Lumus Imaging Queensland Medical Receptionist Enterprise Agreement 2025 — approved August 2025, nominal expiry 30 March 2029.
- Lumus Imaging Queensland Enterprise Agreement 2025 — approved March 2026, nominal expiry 1 August 2028.
- Lumus Imaging NSW and ACT Enterprise Agreement 2023 — approved May 2023, nominal expiry 30 January 2026.
- Lumus Imaging Victoria Enterprise Agreement 2022 — approved July 2023, nominal expiry 3 August 2025.
We don't reproduce agreement dollar figures here — the agreement covering your site, state and stream is the document to read. Find your agreement, then your classification, then your pay point, and compare it with your payslip. The award tables on this page are the floor every one of these agreements must beat.
Common pathology pay issues at Lumus Imaging
The patterns worth checking on a Lumus Imaging payslip:
- Frozen pay points — increments that should step annually but don't, especially after payroll migrations.
- Stream misclassification — admin, ward-support and collector staff left at Level 1–2 while doing Level 3 work.
- Unpaid handover — clinical and shift handover before and after rostered hours is work time.
- Weekend and night loadings dropped when rosters change or systems are replaced.
What to do if your pay looks wrong
Match your payslip to your classification in the agreement (or the award tables above), and price any gap with our back-pay calculator. Raise it in writing with payroll or your manager first — most underpayments are fixed at that step. Unresolved, the Fair Work Ombudsman (13 13 94) recovers underpayments at no cost, up to six years back, and your union can run the claim for you. Not sure which instrument covers you?
