Is it a legal requirement to hold toolbox talks in Australia?

No — there is no law requiring you to hold a toolbox talk specifically. What WHS law requires is consultation with workers, so far as reasonably practicable (s47), on matters including hazard identification, risk assessment, control decisions, welfare facilities and proposed changes (s49). How often should toolbox talks be held?
