Crisis Payment is a one-off, non-taxable payment from Services Australia for people facing an extreme circumstance plus severe financial hardship. It covers family and domestic violence, other extreme circumstances (such as your home being destroyed), humanitarian entrants newly arrived in Australia, and release from prison or psychiatric confinement.
