How much does it cost to apply for an FWC stop-bullying order?

The Form F72 stop-bullying application fee is $92.70 for 2026-27 (the fee changes every 1 July). A sexual-harassment application (Form F75) currently has no fee. Can the FWC order compensation for bullying or sexual harassment?

Not through a stop order — the Fair Work Act bars any order requiring payment of money on the stop-bullying (s.789FF) and stop-sexual-harassment (s.527J) pathways, and the FWC cannot discipline or dismiss anyone. Compensation IS possible on the separate sexual-harassment dispute pathway: after conciliation fails the FWC issues a certificate, and consent arbitration (Form F78) or a court application within 60 days can award compensation and lost pay (ss.527R-527T).

Can I apply for a stop-bullying order after I have left the job?

No. The FWC says you cannot apply if you no longer work for the employer, because an order requires a risk that the bullying will continue at work (s.789FF(1)(b)(ii)). If you were dismissed after raising bullying or harassment, a general protections dismissal application has a strict 21-day deadline. The sexual-harassment DISPUTE pathway is different — you can use it even after leaving.

How fast does the FWC deal with stop-bullying and sexual-harassment applications?

The Fair Work Act requires the FWC to start dealing with a stop-bullying application within 14 days (s.789FE), and the same 14-day rule applies to stop-sexual-harassment orders (s.527J(2)). Employers and people named must respond within 7 days. The FWC aims to resolve most cases within 16 weeks. Breaching an FWC order carries civil penalties up to $21,840 for an individual (60 penalty units at $364 from 1 July 2026), $109,200 for a company with fewer than 15 employees, and $546,000 for a company with 15 or more.
