Pay rises and the next increase
| From | Rise | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 1 May 2024 | 3% | Paid |
| 1 May 2025 | 3% | Paid |
| 1 May 2026 | 3% | In force now |
| 1 May 2027 | 3% | Scheduled |
Next increase: 3% from 1 May 2027 (cl 32.1, Table 14). Progression to the next step within your value range is assessed at the end of each performance cycle; at the top of a grade or value range you receive a 1.5% lump sum instead (cl 31.3).
How to find your pay point
- Your grade, value range and progression step (for example VPS 4.1.3) are on your payslip.
- Progression is not automatic: it depends on meeting the agreed progression criteria for the performance cycle (cl 31).
- If you are in a VPS-aligned or agency-specific structure (Youth Justice, Child Protection, Legal, Allied Health, Science and others), your rates are in Section II of the agreement.
