Event Cinemas Pay Rates 2026: Cinema Crew, Casual & Junior Pay

Event Cinemas (with Greater Union and BCC) is the cinema arm of EVT, the listed group that also owns Rydges and QT hotels and Thredbo. Cinema crew are young, casual and rostered around evening and weekend sessions; the hotel side employs housekeeping, front-office and food-and-beverage staff.

Cinema staff sit on the cinema stream of the Broadcasting, Recorded Entertainment and Cinemas Award 2020, while EVT's hotel workers are covered by the Hospitality Industry (General) Award. The cinema-worker ladder below is the floor for Event Cinemas crew.
