Answer about the work you really do — not your job title. Each "yes" is a signal your role may carry more skill or responsibility than an entry-level classification assumes.

Do you supervise, direct or take responsibility for other staff?

Running a shift, allocating tasks, or being the person others answer to.

Do you train, induct or sign off the work of others?

Showing new starters the ropes or checking their work is correct.

Do you hold the keys, open/close, or reconcile cash/takings?

Being trusted to open or lock up, bank takings, or balance the till.

Does your role rely on a trade, qualification or specialist skill?

A certificate, ticket, or skill the job genuinely depends on.

Do you mostly work on your own judgement, without close supervision?

Deciding how the work gets done rather than being told step by step.

Do you have more than ~2 years' relevant experience in this kind of role?

Experience can move you up classification bands under many awards.
