Domino's award coverage
Domino's is covered by the Fast Food Industry Award (MA000003). In-store roles (pizza maker, customer service) and delivery drivers using Domino's-supplied vehicles are both covered. Drivers using their own vehicle are also covered, with additional km and vehicle allowances payable.
Domino's adult hourly rates
From 1 July 2025:
- Level 1 (pizza maker, customer service, in-store driver): $24.95/hr permanent / $31.19/hr casual
- Level 2 (cook, trainer): $25.40/hr / $31.75/hr
- Level 3 (shift run, supervisor): $26.06/hr / $32.58/hr
Driver allowances (own vehicle)
If you use your own car for Domino's deliveries, you're entitled to a vehicle allowance on top of your hourly rate. Award rates from 1 July 2025:
- Cents per kilometre: $0.95/km for cars, $0.34/km for motorbikes
- Per shift (alternative — depends on franchise method): vehicle allowance amount per the award
This is in addition to your hourly rate, casual loading, and any penalty rates. If your franchise pays a flat "delivery fee" instead, check that it equals or exceeds the per-km calculation for your actual deliveries.
Junior rates
Under 21:
- 16: $12.48/hr (50%)
- 17: $14.97/hr (60%)
- 18: $17.47/hr (70%)
- 19: $19.96/hr (80%)
- 20: $22.46/hr (90%)
Penalty rates
Saturday 125%, Sunday 150%, public holiday 225%. Late-night loadings: 10pm-midnight 110%, midnight-6am 115%.
Common Domino's pay issues
Domino's franchisees have repeatedly been subject to FWO action. Issues to check:
- Per-km vehicle allowance not paid for own-car deliveries
- Junior rate not updated after birthday
- Late-night loadings missed
- "Off the clock" prep work before opening
Drivers: keep a log of every delivery, the date, and the kilometres. If your allowance is wrong, you'll need this evidence.
