Officeworks Enterprise Agreement 2026: Store Operations Agreement Explained

Yes. Officeworks store team members are covered by the Officeworks Store Operations Agreement 2024, approved by the Fair Work Commission on 30 September 2024 with a nominal expiry date of 7 October 2028. It sits on top of the General Retail Industry Award (MA000004), which remains the legal floor.

Officeworks (owned by Wesfarmers, like Bunnings and Kmart) runs print and copy, retail floor, business hub, tech and online-fulfilment roles in stores under this agreement.

Officeworks' customer fulfilment centre workforce bargains separately under the Officeworks Customer Fulfilment Centre Agreement 2024 (approved February 2025, nominal expiry 1 September 2027). If you pick, pack or dispatch rather than work a store floor, that's the agreement to read — your payslip should name it.

Both agreements had to pass the Better Off Overall Test against the General Retail Industry Award, whose floor from 1 July 2026 is $27.81/hr for a permanent adult Retail Employee Level 1. Print and copy specialists, business consultants and tech roles often sit at higher classification levels, so getting your level right matters as much as the base rate.

Match your payslip to your classification level in the agreement, then check that evening, weekend and public-holiday shifts show penalty rates and that casual loading appears on top of the base rate.
