What is a classification level in an award?

Classification levels define the skill, experience, and responsibility required for different roles within an award. Level 1 is typically entry-level, with higher levels reflecting more experience or qualifications. Your employer should tell you your classification level.

Do award pay rates include superannuation?

No. Award pay rates are base rates before superannuation. Your employer must pay the Superannuation Guarantee (currently 12%) on top of your base rate.
