How to claim
- Wait until the liquidator/trustee has been appointed and the employment has ended (your last working day).
- Submit your claim via the FEG online claim system at ag.gov.au/industrial-relations/feg within 12 months of the insolvency event.
- Provide: employment contract, last 3 payslips, calculation of unpaid entitlements, proof of identity, liquidator/trustee contact details.
- FEG processes claims in about 14-16 weeks on average. Payment goes directly to your nominated bank account.
- If you're also owed super, that's claimed separately via the ATO's Superannuation Guarantee Charge process — not FEG.
