What is the superannuation rate in Australia?
The Superannuation Guarantee (SG) rate is 12% of ordinary time earnings for 2025-26. Employers must contribute this to your nominated super fund.
How much notice does my employer have to give me?
Under the National Employment Standards, minimum notice ranges from 1 week (under 1 year of service) to 4 weeks (over 5 years), plus an extra week if you are over 45 and have 2+ years of service.
What is casual loading in Australia?
Casual loading is typically 25% on top of the base hourly rate, paid to compensate casual employees for not receiving paid leave or other permanent entitlements.
How much annual leave am I entitled to?
Full-time employees get 4 weeks (20 days) of paid annual leave per year. Part-time employees receive a pro-rata amount based on hours worked.
What is the minimum wage in Australia?
The national minimum wage is $25.50 per hour or $969.00 per week (38 hours) as of 1 July 2025. The next review takes effect 1 July 2026.
